Mindset

Our approach to process optimization enables participants to change mindsets as they learn what is possible, as individuals and organizations.

What do we mean by “changing mindsets?”

“I love working with ‘Karen,’ but she always wants more detail than I’m prepared to give her. I sometimes delay bringing her into a new project because I don’t have the time or patience to deal with all of her questions.”  We can help you not only understand, but also value her attention to detail, and learn how and when to include her so you both benefit from her participation.

“We don’t understand what’s wrong with the production team.  They keep creating the same flawed products and QA keeps pointing out their mistakes.”  We believe it’s important to “blame the process, not the people” so we can learn from the production team members who are closest to the action – and may just need time, skills, and space (permission?) to “stop the line” and examine the root cause of the defect.

“Our goals are not aligned, and as the boss, I’m the only one whose compensation is based on the overall results.”  We often see organizations reward individuals for the completion of their own tasks without an understanding of how their “work product” fits into the end product.  We help clients align their resources, processes, structure, and reward systems so everyone’s results directly lead to, and are rewarded for, the overall success of the organization.

Here’s how we make these moves.

Mindset change begins with the review of your team’s Predictive Index results as we illustrate similarities and differences in the makeup  of teams.  We help you anticipate and appreciate predictable behaviours.

Our Heath Score (H-Score) assessment provides a snapshot of the enterprise’s current state, bringing sharp focus to the metrics that help our customers understand the health, and identify the challenges, of their business.  Priorities that may have seemed like good processes to tackle are often shifted as leaders focus and align on their data.

Our two-day Boot Camp offers new ways of thinking about process and performance while serving as an engaging team alignment experience – enhancing focus, applying critical thinking, and building teamwork that extends to collective responsibility for organization-wide results.

For those who are not ready to commit to Boot Camp, we offer a half-day session called the Flow Accelerator to stimulate participant thinking about ways to remove bottlenecks and reduce waste – after product quality has been built into the process.

Some clients attend Boot Camp and continue on a “self-service” journey, while others ask us to coach them as they apply resources to their process work.  We support them through the Tatham System, which includes our guidance and enables you to see your organization through our lens.  We love helping organizations transform themselves with our support.

Our Transition Leadership program extends communication strategy and planning throughout the organization that will be affected by the process changes – preparing for smooth implementation as we enable employees to understand, embrace, and participate in adopting new ways of working.  Our program delves beyond the familiar mantra of “communicate, communicate, communicate” to build ample opportunities for listening to employee concerns, fears, hopes, and enthusiasm.

We provide Team Coaching for clients who choose the Tatham System, lending our experience in effectively implementing lessons learned in Boot Camp.  When clients use the Predictive Index and receive our guidance to select key participants; enable us to support the process redesign team(s); and engage us in sharing insights with your leadership team, we continue to transfer knowledge that increases the success of your transformation journey.

Where requested, we provide Executive Coaching to key leaders within the organization: your process champion, executive sponsor, or others who would benefit from expertise in leadership, behavioural change, polarity management, and other development approaches.  We know that our offerings stimulate new ways of thinking and of being, so we’re prepared to help you decide how to leverage this mindset shift and transform your leadership, individually and/or collectively.
